fernee’s Beef Tender

Tom note: I love getting my beef tenderloins at Costco

INGREDIENTS

1 fully trimmed beef tenderloin

1 stick butter

Tex Joy Steak Seasoning

DIRECTIONS

Sprinkle the steak seasoning heavily on the tender and rub in well. 

Let marinate in the fridge for at least two hours or overnight. Bring to room temperature before cooking.

Preheat oven to 400.

When ready to cook, melt butter and pour over the tender. 

Bake for about 45 minutes for medium, basting every 15 minutes. 

fernee’s note: Various sizes of tenders and oven temperatures affect the roasting time.  You can use an oven thermometer… medium is 140, medium rare 130-135.

Tome note: Remember, the meat will continue to cook as it sits after it comes out of the oven. I always cook a little bit under what I want to get it just right.
